Pen friends, e-friends, key bored

A friend of mine, last day, asked me whether I have any pen-friends now . 

Pen friends ?  That too when most of us don't use a pen.. and uses only a keyboard to write !

I have e-friends. Can I not call them my pen-friends ? Yes , I think.

Whether I use a pen or a keyboard, both are writing. So, e-friends are certainly pen-friends. 

To an e-friend I send e-mails. My chat friends, with whom I chat (using keyboard, mouse, mike and cam) too are my e-friends. Because, when I say "e", it means all forms of communication using computers. Being an e-friend, I am key-bored with my keyboard. Bored of typing !
