Auto Drivers

I am fed up of these people.. the auto drivers, the most evil elements in our City.  But Autos are said to be the "poor man's taxi". 

Autos, short for the peculiar funny vehicles ' Autorickshaw', are the worst vehicles. I think these autos are an insult to the whole of automobiles. The most ill-designed automobile;  the most trouble maker in the traffic;  with the worst-behaved drivers; all these make the Auto the "demon of the City".  The main problem, more than the vehicle itself, are the drivers of this stupid vehicle.

In our city, auto drivers are notorious for their uncivilised behaviour. They are the focal points of most of the crimes in the city. The major reason is, I am sure, that these drivers are not educated and trained. They are not given any training in 'how to behave'. A driving license is not the proof of a person's ability to drive a vehicle. Driving doesn't mean just running the vehicle along the roads.  Abiding by the laws, (traffic regulations and all that..) and good bahaviour with all other motorists, pedestrians, and passengers are essential. The driving license here is about the ability to run a vehicle, and nothing more. This should change.  The above qualities should be made a basis for issuing a license.

Most of the auto drivers in the city are young (below 30/35). These are the problem elements. A small fraction of drivers are elderly (above 50 ); these people are much better.

I am usning a two-wheeler in this city for the last 30 years. My personal assessment about the drivers (of various nature ) here are as follows. 

Auto drivers : 90 percent of them do not behave well (let me say they are rouges and looters ).

                          10 percent may be good and reasonable.

Taxi (car) drivers :   90 percent of them are good and mostly well behaved.

                                     10 percent of them are bad, like the auto drivers

Private cars :  Most of them (may be 99 %) of them are good.

                          That 1 % .. you cant help it..!

KSRTC drivers :  They are the best drivers in this City, I believe. May be a minor fraction of them are not up to the mark.

Private bus drivers : Sure, all of them know running the bus; not driving it. 

Two-wheelers :   Most of the 2w drivers are very good .  But, the new generation (youth ) are mostly bad. Among these, the most new generation drivers ( the working class youth) are extremely bad. They know running the 2wheelers, not driving it. If you ask for statistics, I sure, they will be the most accident generators.

"Auto rickshaws must be banned immediately"

OR

Redesign (make necessary changes to) the autos immediately. Issue license to drivers, only if they prove their personal / behavioural qualities.
