What's RAM and RAT ?

RAM and RAT ? What is RAM to do with RAT ? A few asked me these questions. But I didn’t explain them.

RAM stands for Random Access Memories, and RAT stands for Random Access Thoughts. This is evident from the Blog title.

But, to many, RAM denotes the limited and temporary memory associated with the processor of a Computer. Yes, here too it's of the same nature.

RAT is the larger kind of the mouse. The rat is famous for its characteristic 'poking' into anything. I too am trying to poke.

RAM is about the memories I access from my past, the history. No one can change the history, it's static. It’s all happened, certain and are hard facts. We can only narrate and review; put them to the audience.

RATs are about the future. They are forecasts of status and happenings, possible or not. There’s no certainty about the RATs. And so, we keep changing them, and the visualizations. RATs are dynamic.

Now that I combine the past and the future, its also about the present. We all (should) live in the present. That’s where we need to integrate the past and future. RAM and RAT does just that.

Does that suggest RAM and RAT are contradictory ideas ? No way ! In fact, they are closely related. It's the integration of the static and dynamic ideas.

This world, and our life is random. We can see randomness in everything, all aspects of life. Had it been systematic, anything would have been predictable, precisely. But, in reality, nothing is predictable. Uncertainties are the only certainty. But we all attempt to see systemic changes. And this rarely happens. Life is a mixture of good and bad. All goods and all bads hardly happen. The blend is, the reality is, always random.

This blog, RAMandRAT, is an attempt to be a transaction of life, with its uncertainty and randomness in its core. It’s a blend of the good and the bad stuff. It’s idiotic and intelligent. It’s past and future. It’s mine and your’s. And that's why RAMandRAT is random in its presentation and behaviour.

Welcome to my world of random thoughts and memories. Here, I plan to share my random thoughts and memories that comes to my mind, as and when I am clicked, by someone or something.
Being RANDOM is natural; so are my thoughts, and my memories. I shall not manipulate them.

I started writing my "feels" when I was an eighth standard student. I wrote in my mother tongue Malayalam, in the last page of my Malayalam notebook. I wrote just two paragraphs about a boat race (Vallamkali), based on a poem (from the 9th standard text book) taught by my grand father (Appooppan). He was my inspiration to write what I felt like.
But I didn't show my article to any one other than my Appooppan. The paper may still be lying in the 'thattinpuram' of my 'tharavaadu'.

Later, over this many years, I wrote some of my experiences, thoughts, and feels. Most of what I wrote are impulsive, and some of them may not look matured. But that's not a deterrent for me. Let me remember, think, dream, and write, as I like (feel) it. That's a pleasure too !

Are there any rules to think ? Are there any rules to write? May be, there are. But let me not worry on those now. Let me Remember, Think, Dream and Write whatever, but not hurting anyone. You would agree with me, honest writings may hurt someone sometimes. But, YOU please don't get hurt !
